About the Cyber Boot Camp!
Aim
The aim of the Cyber Bootcamp is to provide strategic foundations for deepening participants’ understanding of technical and scientific aspects of internet functionality and key principles of cybersecurity. The Cyber Bootcamp includes a strong focus on technical threats and challenges, and identifying the strategy, policy and regulatory gaps, notably those functional areas that have important national and international security implications.
Format
The event will be conducted over three days in an active learning format. Lectures, accompanied by hands-on data entry sessions, inclusive of multiple step observations resulting from participant action. Tutors and faculty will lead interactive discussion sessions focusing upon the strategy, law, policy and regulatory implications of technical actions. A particular emphasis will be placed on cyberspace cross-border interdependencies and interconnectedness understanding.
Audience
National cybersecurity strategy and policy development and legal experts, researchers and educators. Future iterations aim to include serving national officials, diplomats and journalists working on cyber security-related issues.
